Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Ribbon

The official Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Ribbon (MOVSM) is awarded to U.S. Army soldiers who demonstrate sustained volunteer service that has a significant impact within the civilian community. This ribbon is regulation size and approved for wear on the Army Service Uniform (ASU) and Army Green Service Uniform (AGSU).

The Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal (MOVSM) was established by Executive Order 12830, January 9, 1993. It may be awarded to members of the Armed Forces of the United States and their Reserve Components, who subsequent to December 31, 1992, perform outstanding volunteer community service of a sustained, direct and consequential nature.
