Custom Nametapes Embroidered

• Choose your name tape fabric and thread colors. 100's of combinations available.
• Your custom nametape will be personalized with up to 20 characters, all in UPPERCASE with the same font as you see in our pictures (standard military font).
• Standard military name tapes are all made to official U.S. Military regulations which is typically 5 and 1/4 inches long by 1 inch high. The Desert Sand Color comes in different size compared to the other colors. It is 5 inches in length by 1.25 inches tall vs the normal 1 inch tall.
• You can choose sew-on (you sew-on to your uniform) or add a hook fastener where we add the hook fastener to the nametape which cost an additional $2.00 per nametape.

What is a hook fastener or hook and loop?
A hook fastener or hook and loop is the fastening system which uses two sides of material. The hook portion is the rough and scratchy like side and the loop is the softer fuzzier side. When placing the two sections together, the hook and the loop fabric attach to each other creating a bond, keeping the name tape in place during any activity. But not so strong that the name tape (or any other patch) cannot be removed as needed.

In November of 2020 the Army switched to using the 3 color OCP Pattern as this is the current standard it is our default OCP pattern. While both 3 and 7 color are authorized for wear by the Army, Air Force, and Space Force; the 7 color has been mostly phased out and the material is harder to come by.

"Hook fastener" is a type of closure system that uses two opposing strips, one with tiny hooks and the other with soft loops. When pressed together, the hooks and loops interlock, providing a secure and reusable hold.

Online orders typically take 24-48 hour to make then it would depend on the type of shipping chosen. In store orders typically take 24 hours depending on current work load of sewing department.

We can do lowercase letters if specifically asked, though lowercase letters with tails hanging down will have to be adjusted and may look different. The Letters P, Q and G will decrease the height of the letters if left lower case. If order is in all caps, and still contains the letter Q, the name will be slightly smaller in height.

You can get a name tape with up to 20 letters, with keeping in mind that the more letters you have the skinnier and closer together the letters will be.

Name Tapes are going to be 5 and ¼ inches long by 1 inch high. The only colors that vary are New and Old Navy Digital, and Desert Sand which are 1 ¼ inches tall. We can make the name tape smaller, taking into account that the shorter the nametape is, the more squeezed the letters become.
