What is that attachment near supposed to be?

I received a PT long sleeve Black T-shirt for a gift. On the inside, near collar on both sides there a string attaching both shoulders. What is that string attachment there for and do you with it?

Not real APFU SHIRT

Idk why they have NSN’s listed in the description, they are not standard issue.
These shirts are some cheap hot garbage.
If you only need it to satisfy a packing list you might get by, other than that don’t waste your money.
