GORE-TEX fabric is engineered to remain durably waterproof even after exposure to contaminants, such as jet fuel, gasoline, hydraulic fluid, DEET, and other petroleums, oils, and lubricants. And in testing, even saltwater doesn't clog the waterproof membrane or reduce its breathability. For you, that means increased durability and a longer life cycle.
